QKO was found in 2015 by a Korean entrepreneur who grew up in Kuwait, it is blending two cultures with one mission: to bring the best halal-friendly Asian snacks and groceries to the UAE.

QKO stands for Kuwait (Q8) and Korean (KO), reflecting the founder’s roots and passion.

Hi, I’m Jina!

Growing up with Muslim friends, I saw how much they loved Japanese and Korean snacks—but always had to worry about haram ingredients.

I wanted to create a place where they could enjoy the most popular snacks from Korea, Japan, and Thailand without the doubt.

Every product at QKO is carefully selected to be halal-conscious.

QKO means "Express" in Japanese, and it also tells my story: Q for Q8 (Kuwait), where I grew up, and KO for Korea, where I’m from. QKO is your express journey to Asia—with peace of mind.
